Is there a difference between Topdon RLink lite and MDCI PRO that comes with Phoenix MAX diagnostic scanner? Yes, there are indeed some differences between the RLink Lite and MDCI Pro. RLink Lite is mainly designed for OE-level software — it supports more programs and even works with PDU-standard ones, which MDCI Pro doesn’t. Plus, its drivers and firmware get regular updates along with OE updates, keeping it always up to date. It is possible to use MDCI Pro with OE-level software. While MDCI Pro is a powerful tool, some OE-level software features are still limited or require specific configurations. You’ll just need to download and install a J2534 driver in our website, and then you can connect your car via OEM with the MDCI PRO to perform the diagnosis. It is useless to use it with European cars software like Odis because the Phoenix tools itself is capable and better to navigate through.
