How to Set an External TF Card as the Storage Location for Vehicle Software?

 

The English vehicle software is pre-installed on the device, which occupies a portion of internal storage. For users in non-English speaking countries, downloading other language versions of vehicle software may result in insufficient storage space.

As the number of vehicle software brands increases, along with the continuous addition of vehicle models and functions, memory usage will also increase. This may result in insufficient storage in the future.

 

Solutions:

Method 1: Set the default storage path of vehicle software to the TF card.
Method 2: Migrate already downloaded vehicle software from internal storage to the TF card.

 

Attention:

There is no limit on the brand or capacity of the TF card.

There is no limit on the number of vehicle software files that can be stored or migrated.

Method 1：

Insert a working TF card into the TF card slot on the right side of the device.

Enter the main interface of the “UltraDiag” diagnostic application and tap “User Info.” (see Figure 1)

Tap “Settings”. (see Figure 2)

Tap “Data Storage.” (see Figure 3)

Tap “Vehicle Software Default Storage Path” and set the default storage path to “TF Card.” (see Figures 4-6)

After completing the setup, future vehicle software will be stored on the TF card by default. You can also switch the storage path back to “Internal Storage” using the same steps.

 

Method 2：

Steps 1-4 are the same as in Method 1.

Select “Data Migration.” (see Figure 7)

Check the vehicle software files you wish to migrate and tap “Data Migration.” (see Figure 8).

Tap “Migrate to TF Card.” When the prompt “Data Migration Successful” appears, it means the selected vehicle software has been successfully migrated from internal storage to the TF card.

After the migration is completed, internal storage space will be freed. You can also migrate software from the TF card back to internal storage using the same method.
