Problem:
Tried to program smart key on a 2022 Nissan Sentra with Topdon Rlink J2534 and Consult III Plus software. Keys got picked up but doesnt get past “Obtain immobilizer Code” with an oem refurbished key and even tried a universal key. Was told someone tried before us. Wondering if they fried the hrm.
Solution:
No VIN on the top was detected.
VIN number needs to be detected.
Closed and open and try again until you get the vin.
Update:
the vin was indeed the issue. First few reads it didn’t pick up the vin so we entered it manually. Coming back to the car we kept hitting the start button while it tried reading vin and it picked it up. Programmed in about 5 min oem software 1 day subscription.
