Keeping your BT600/BT600 Plus device up-to-date ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features. If you’re new to the process, updating via a USB-C connection to a Windows computer is straightforward. This guide walks you through each step, from downloading the necessary software to completing the upgrade.
Step 1: Download the PC Suite
Begin by visiting topdon.com on your Windows PC. Navigate to the “Battery Service” section and select the BT600 or BT600 Plus model. Click on the Download tab located at the top center of the page, and download the dedicated software suite for your device.
Once the download is complete, locate the file in your folder, right-click on it, and select “Extract All.” Open the extracted folder and launch the PC Suite installer. Follow the on-screen prompts: grant installation permissions, accept the terms, and optionally create a desktop shortcut. The installation process is quick and will be ready in moments.
Step 2: Connect and Bind Your Device
Before connecting your BT600/BT600 Plus, ensure the device is powered off. Use a USB-C cable to connect it to your computer. This step is crucial—the computer will not recognize the device if it is turned on during connection.
Now, open the installed PC Suite and log into your account. Inside the software, navigate to the device management tab (often labeled “My Device” or similar). Here, you should see your BT600 or BT600 Plus listed along with its activation and warranty details. Click on “Bind Device” and enter the required security code when prompted. A confirmation message will indicate that the device has been successfully bound to your account.
Step 3: Check and Install Updates
With your device bound, you can now check for available upgrades. Click on the “Upgrade” button within the software. If an update is available—as is often the case—the system will prompt you to proceed. Click “Upgrade” to begin downloading and installing the latest firmware.
Note: The upgrade process may take a few moments and might require a couple of attempts to initiate successfully. Once the update is complete, a confirmation message will appear indicating a successful upgrade.
