Problem:
It is a 2024 Audi Q5 2.0. Trying to reset the inspection service interval. The oil change is reset through the car settings, but the top on Topdon Phoenix Elite scanner is not able to reset the inspection. All of the options available in the scan tool lead to a communication failure as if the scan tool can’t get through. do I really need a service token to reset this?
Scan tool has an active subscription.
Solution:
This is most likely an SFD vehicle. For special functions like inspection/service reset, the SFD security gateway must be unlocked first.
You have to purchase SFD on an annual basis. You can purchase the SFD token in the device “Mall” or directly purchase 1-Year SFD unlock license from Topdonshop.eu. Then log in with your TOPDON account (with the token) and unlock the gateway to perform the reset normally.
