How to Solve Topdon MDCI Pro Download File Failed Error?

Problem:

I’ve some problems updating my Topdon Phoenix MDCI pro VCI firmware. The update failed every time.

Error: download file failed.

Solution:

Try updating the MDCI Pro system and App version to resolve the issue.

 

Steps:

1. Provide 12V power to the MDCI Pro (by connecting to the vehicle’s OBD diagnostic port or using an external 12V power adapter).

2. Connect the device to the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

The device has started automatically checking for updates. Do not disconnect the power during the update process.

After the update is complete. Restart your device and check if it is the latest version.

If you need a system update, on the main interface, tap the Settings icon in the upper right corner- “Version”- “System Update” to begin the update.

NOTE:
After connecting the MDCI Pro to Ethernet or Wi-Fi, it will automatically check for available updates.
If an update is required, the process will begin automatically. If the update does not trigger automatically, navigate to the “Update” section and proceed manually.

If still doesn’t work, follow the steps above to take a video and send it to Topdon engineer. They will analyze and verify the problem.
