How to clone Mini Cooper Bosch MED17.2 ECU with Topdon Phoenix Smart and T-Ninja box?

Tools used:

Topdon Phoenix Smart

Topdon T-Ninja Box

 

Procedure:

Select IMMO Prog function.

Bosch number search.

Input Bosch number to detect ECU type.

It’s a Bosch MED17.2 TC1766 ECU.

Check wiring diagram.

There are two versions of diagrams.

Connect MED17.2 ECU with T-ninja Box.

Connect T-ninja box with MDCI pro and Phoenix Smart tablet.

Back up original EEPROM and Flash data.

Disconnect original ECU.

Connect a donor ECU with T-ninja box.

Restore (Write) EEPROM and Flash data.
